Trent Peake was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky and attended the University of Kentucky where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management. He is an avid Kentucky Wildcats basketball and football fan.
Trent began his career after college in the hotel industry with Hilton Hotels & Resorts working in Kentucky and Florida serving in various management roles. He was first introduced to Sanibel when he joined the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce as the Member Services Manager in 2014. Trent enjoyed working with Chamber members helping them achieve their marketing, social media, and business goals while maximizing their Chamber membership. Trent was very proud to call Sanibel home and promote the island as a world-famous vacation destination and more importantly a great community to live in.
Trent’s most recent position was the Director of Marketing & E-Commerce for Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia where he oversaw all marketing and e-commerce for the Historic destination’s 6 hotels, 19 food & beverage outlets, 3 championship golf courses, world-class spa, while also marketing the destination for weddings, meetings and conferences. During his tenure at Colonial Williamsburg, Trent assisted with reopening the iconic Williamsburg Inn after its most recent renovation and was instrumental with efforts to earn the coveted AAA Five Diamond rating. Trent coordinated efforts in the reopening of Colonial Williamsburg’s premier Top 100 golf course, Golden Horseshoe Gold Course, after a year-long complete renovation. Peake also helped lead the rebranding of Colonial Williamsburg’s hospitality division to Colonial Williamsburg Resorts with a new industry leading website and advertising campaigns to attract new audiences to the destination.
During his spare time, Trent enjoys perfecting his golf game, having played several famous courses, and traveling to see friends and family. He also enjoys spending time with his parents who reside in The Villages, Florida.
