Quick Links to Captiva Island Homes for Sale:
Captiva Island offers 18 different neighborhoods. Many Captiva neighborhood names identify land parcels held by one family that were developed using the landowners name, while others are geographically defined by island location. Because Captiva is 6 miles long and less than 1 mile wide consisting of 640 acres, all Captiva homes are "near beach".

F.H. Silver King Tichnors
These 32 homes are located on Captiva Drive to the S Curve before Jensens. One has to assume that this community name refers to Tarpon fishing since the Tarpon is also known as the Sliver King.
Fun Fact: It is believed that the 300 plus Pound Tarpon caught in June 24th, 2013 is the largest catch and release on record.. The great fish measured 96 inches long with a 53 inch girth and the estimated weight was 337 pounds. He was caught by Jan Toule while fishing with Captain Justin Moore only 300 yards off the shore of Anna Maria Island.
Village by the Sea
This community is no longer found in the MLS as a stand alone area. These 7 homes on Andy Rosse Lane are now found under the F.A. Lanes Bayview community.
Andy Rosse Lane is a popular area drawing locals from Sanibel and Fort Myers as well as Captiva. This stretch of Captiva is famous for it's sunsets at the Mucky Duck, followed by an evening of dinner and drinks at or several of the great cafes and restaurants. Shopping is also a favorite pass time on Andy Rosse Lane with fine art boutiques including Jungle Drums and fashion shops like Shirley Allen.
These homes are located primarily on Chapin Lane with just a few on Wiles Drive and Murmond Lane. The Wiles family donated the land where the Chapel by the Sea Cemetery is located, and this neighborhood bears the Wiles name.
Wiles is near the Chapel by the Sea, Andy Rosse Lane and Chadwick Square. If you are interested in seeing the museum, a trust fund was started in 1966 and donations can still be placed in a small box located within the front gate of Captiva's Historic Cemetery.
