Located on Sanibel's West End, Lake Murex offers owners Deeded Beach Access (Access is 5 feet to the west of West Wind Inn). Residents also enjoy tennis membership availability. Homes are located on Lake Murex Circle and Twin Lakes Lane surrounding the lakes with the same names.
This community is located along West Gulf Drive offering 8 home owners 2 deeded beach access areas and quiet uncrowded west end beaches at the end of West Gulf Drive. Owners enjoy some of Sanibel's most isolated stretches of sandy beach. The bike path is at your door step and the West End Location offers easy access to the Sanibel School, the Recreation Center, the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge and Baileys General Store. Restaurants nearby include: Doc Fords, George & Wendy's Corner Grill, Over Easy Cafe, the West Wind Inn, and Traditions on the Beach.
Las Conchas del Mar
Nestled along the transition between Middle Gulf Drive and East Gulf Drive, these homes offer near beach convenience on the following neighborhood streets: Elinor Way, Nerita Street, Demere Lane and Olga Avenue. These 47 homes have easy access to Sanibel's Bike Path which travels more than 26 miles around the island. Las Conchas del Mar provides easy off island access to Fort Myers and is walking distance to the beach.
Located near the beach on Sanibel's East End, this community has only 6 homes, all located on Las Tiendas Lane. Their beach access is located near Colony Beach Estates.
Located along West Gulf Drive, Bowman's Beach Road and Sea Bell Road, these 48 homes are close to Bowmans Beach where some of the finest shelling can be found.
Little Lake Murex
This neighborhood consists of 49 homes and is a subset of the Lake Murex neighborhood. The only difference is that Little Lake Murex residents have tennis access built into their HOA fees. Owners also enjoy deeded beach access located 5 feet west of the West Wind Inn along West Gulf Drive.
FUN FACT: Murex is the genus name of many ornate species of shells. Two of the most common murex shells found on Sanibel and Captiva Islands are the Apple Murex and the Lace Murex.
Long Acre Lake
Located off of West Gulf Drive, this small near beach community consists of only 7 homes on Violet Drive that share the community amenities with Seagull Estates. They have deeded beach access by Angler's Key Condominiums.
Located off of Wulfert Road, this West End community consists of only 32 homesites and offers boat access to Dinkins Bayou. Streets in the community include Shop Road and Los Colony Road. Dinkins Bayou opens to Roosevelt Channel and San Carlos Bay for incredible fishing, boating and sunsets on the water.
