Guiness Book of World Records - The Sanibel Stoop

WHEN: February 17th, 10:00a.m. WHERE: Bowmans Beach, Sanibel Island Florida

On Feb. 17th, 2012 Sanibel beachcombers set a record for the most people doing the Sanibel Stoop at one time. Complete with Grand Marshall Eric Pfeifer armed with a megaphone on a ladder and a helicopter circling above, hundreds of beachgoers set the record.

In 2018, the Beaches of Sanibel and Fort Myers Beach again broke another record creating the largest human Seashell on the beach. The event was created to celebrate National Seashell Day.
