JUNE 2nd, 2011 - Just a few weeks ago a local fisherman and organizer of several area fishing tournaments expessed concern that the tarpon where in, but not biting on anything. Anglers were frustrated by the tarpon's lack of interest in eating.

Well the tarpon are in and now they are biting! What a difference a few days will make. Local fishermen recently landed this record tarpon!

Fun Fact: The most common bait used to catch tarpon is fresh cut mullet. They also will hit on live Thread Fins also known as Herring, or live crabs.
