The Under the Sea Fundraiser is an annual event occurring in our high season. Hosted at the museum after hours, guests enjoy dining and great entertainment while supporting the work of the Museum.
The Bailey Matthews National Shell Museum is a must see for any Sanibel Island visitor. Many shellers wish they would have visited the museum before heading to our beaches to look for shells. As one of the best shelling beaches in the entire world, it is fitting that the island have a Nationally recognized Shell Museum.
With 30 shell exhibits, a gift shop and events all year round, the Bailey Matthews Shell Museum is a must see!
