Pfeifer Realty Group has had the honor of sharing our parking lot with F.I.S.H. from April of 2008 when we opened our Sanibel Real Estate Brokerage until June of 2015 when they moved to their new location at 2430 Periwinkle Way. We have been able to see those in need as they come in and out of the their office as well as interact with their staff and volunteers.
The City of Sanibel recognizes that many indiviudals in our community need below market rate housing. This valuable program offers both rental and ownership opportunities to families with low or moderate incomes.
Community Housing and Resources, Inc is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides housings for many families who work full time on Sanibel or are retired or disabled residents on the island.
Founder Curtis Perry a part time resident artist who lived on Captiva went door to door in 1927 to convince islanders to support the concept of a gathering place with money, materials and their labor.
May 5th, 2015 will be a great day for Sanibel and Captiva fans of Bleu Windows French Restaurant in Fort Myers. Owners Christian and Mari Vivet will be opening Bleu Rendezvous at 2430 Periwinkle Way on Sanibel. Their second restaurant will strongly reflect the menu items and wine list from their already popular South Fort Myers bistro.
Every year hopeful anglers from all over the world assemble their best team, gather their most reliable equipment and gear to hunt down and catch the elusive Tarpon. One of the largest Tarpon Tournaments happens each May to support Ding Darling Wildlife Society, The Doc Ford's Tarpon Tournament. With nearly 50 teams of avid anglers, the Tarpon will be on the run.
2015's tournament resulted one of the youngest teams entered in the history of the Doc Ford's Tarpon Tournament. Known as the "Young Bucks", Pfeifer Realty Group is sponsoring these avid anglers: John Pfeifer, Zane Smith and Harry Heuther. This team may be young but they are keenly familiar with the waters surrounding Sanibel, Captiva and Pine Island Sound. Zane Smith, a Freshman at FGCU grew up on Sanibel with a love of fishing from an early age, and has fished these waters for over 12 years. John Pfeifer, a Sophomore at Canterbury moved to Sanibel when he was only 2 years old and obtained his boating license at the age of 11. John began exploring the waters on his own 5 years ago.
