The Sanibel Public Library recently announced an all-out effort to add photos to their digital vintage photo collection.
The Library has teamed with Eric Pfeifer, Broker-Owner of Pfeifer Realty Group, who is funding the scanning of all the photos. Each photo will be added on the Library’s online vintage collection.
Real estate represents being a part of something bigger, a neighborhood and a community. On Sanibel and Captiva Islands we have a great community that is not just a series of neighborhoods gated and isolated from other neighborhoods, we are all neighbors here on the islands and is shows anytime you attend a community event. Our island community is preserved and enhanced daily by countless hours given in service by the great non profits here. From F.I.S.H. helping fellow neighbors in need to CROW tending to animals in need, SCCF setting aside valuable conservation lands, the Ding Darling Wildlife Society promoting wildlife education and programs, The Sanibel Historical Village preserving our pioneer history, the Sanibel Sea School actively teaching ecology in hands on study, and the Sanibel Community House providing a place for us to gather, or the Bailey Matthews Shell Museum educating us on the wonders of the mollusk world, to BIG ARTS providing the islands with cultural programs year around.
Our community is OUTSTANDING because of the efforts of everyone involved in these organizations. Pfeifer Realty Group is proud to support them at every turn.

If you are planning your Sanibel Captiva vacation, keep in mind that our busy high season runs Mid-January thru Easter weekend.
Most Sanibel condos rent Saturday to Saturday with one week minimums, while Sanibel homes must be rented a minimum of 28 days. Captiva Island homes and condos can be rented weekly. There are a few exceptions to these rules depending on the Home Owner's Associations.

Eric Pfeifer and Nicole Decker McHale are a common sight here on Sanibel Island as this auction duo has donated their time and talent to many non-profit events.
Their most recent appearance was at the Bailey Matthews National Shell Museum's Under the Sea Gala.
I truly believe that Sanibel and Captiva Island Residents are some of the most generous that you will find with respect to their passion for giving. Time, talent, and support of many organizations could not be any more prevalent in a community of residents than you will find here on the islands.
Non-profits depend on the support and generosity of many. A perfect example is the SCCF's turtle program where it takes a massive organized group of volunteers to walk all the beaches every morning to spot and mark each new turtle nest, false crawl, and hatching.
In the true spirit of Christmas, Kristen Hartman, Realtor with Pfeifer Realty Group set up and hosted a Toys for Tots collection booth at the Farmer's Market at FSW (Florida Southwestern State College) on Friday December 16th.
Every toy donor received a free Christmas Ornament courtesy of Kristen Hartman, and a free cup of Organic Coffee Courtesy of the FSW Farmer's Market.
When Eric Pfeifer announced the third film in the Pfeifer Documentary Series, Sanibel Before the Causeway, he had no idea it would be such a big hit. The film has now had three sold-out showings at the Sanibel Community House.
Now, he has literally taken the show on the road, and the result was another full house – this time at Shell Point. The showing attracted 145 people, who were treated to a one-hour documentary filled with old film footage from the pre-1963 Sanibel.
