Sanibel and Captiva are home to several Churches and while the islands population does not support enough members to represent every denomination, there are many options for visitors and residents.
Because our community is small (6,000 year around residents) the Sanibel Congregational United Church of Christ shares their facilities with Temple Bat Yam.
Bat Yam Temple of the Islands: Even though Bat Yam is a Reform congregation, it's members come from all Jewish denominations and backgrounds. They meet at the SCUCC on Periwinkle Way. For more information visit: batyam.org
Chapel by the Sea: Captiva's historical Chapel opens seasonally from the second Sunday in November thru the month of April to service Winter Residents. Services are at 11am. The Chapel is non-denominational and welcomes visitors and residents anytime. For more information visit: captivachapel.com
