Growing Up on Sanibel features Alexandria Cloutier. This first of five Sanibel Island documentaries sponsored by Pfeifer Realty Group highlights four generations of people who grew up on Sanibel. The film will features some long–time Sanibel residents who either grew up here, or who moved here in their early adult years, and who raised families here. An additional focus to adults who grew up here takes a nostalgic look back at their experience growing up Sanibel Island. Finally, current “Sanibel kids” are featured, with glimpses into their island lives.
Alexandria moved to Sanibel when she was 6 years old. They lived on Sanibel's East End for a while then moved to the West End of Sanibel which has more nature encounters due to the lack of condos and density of homes. I loved interacting with nature and exploring the wildlife. When I saw and ad to help with the CROW clinic it was a dream job for me. We had taken many injured animals to CROW and it was exciting to be able to be a part of their valuable mission.
I became interested in Photography because the surrounding nature was so picture worthy. To be able to ride my bike around such beautiful nature inspires my artistic side. For a while I was into such a great routine. I would wake up super early and bike to the Sanibel Recreation Center, then head to the CROW Clinic to help with all the baby animals.
Sanibel is just this great little island with amazing people and great facilities like the Rec. Center and CROW.
