October 22nd from 7-10pm: Make plans to attend the 6th Annual Beach Ball fundraiser to benefit the Children's Education Center of the Islands. Event will be held at the Sanctuary Golf Club with both live and silent auction items, buffet and music by DJ "New Beginnings". Fun Fact: In 2001 CECI held it's first major fund raiser Reach for the Stars chaired by fund raising director Mary Ellen Pfeifer, this marked the first of many events that are now called Beach Ball. CECI is a parent run non-profit pre-school on Sanibel Island. Founded in 1974, the same year as the City of Sanibel was incorporated, the Children's Education Center of the Islands continues to provide toddlers with an outstanding pre-school education in a fun playful environment.

After three years at CECI, John Pfeifer now 15 years old summarizes the school as "awesome" especially the play ground with the figure 8 road for bikes trikes and cars.
