A Rainy Luminary Night
LAST UPDATED: 06 December 2009

"Rain - Rain - Go - Away" was expressed island wide as Sanibel's Luminary Night was rained out for the first time in more than 25 years. Despite all the rain, many businesses remained committed to their evening plans as locals and visitors ventured out in their ponchos to brave the downpour. It is estimated that the island received 3 to 4 inches of rain in 24 hours. For those who braved the weather, it was a memorable yet soggy evening!
