What a wonderful honor for Baileys General Store to be recognized by the United States Congress as the Senate's Small Business of the Week.
On April 24th, 2019 U.S. Senator Marco Rubio came to Sanibel to deliver a copy of the Congressional Record to Richard Johnson personally. What a wonderful validation for Bailey's General Store and the role they have played in making Sanibel Island a wonderful home town for so many of us, and a great vacation destination.
Bailey's General Store has been the heart of Sanibel for years. From the vision of Sanibel pioneer Frank Bailey to the steadfast leadership provided by brothers Sam and Francis Bailey this smalltown grocery store has played a major role in our island's history.
Richard Johnson has continued to provide incredible service as he and his family Mead, Calli and Dane are responsible for the well-deserved recognition.
