"Ding" Darling Days are a week of eco-activities! The kick-off begins with Family Fun Day on Sunday October 16th where visitors will enjoy free refuge tram tours, live wildlife presentations, hot dogs, kids crafts and more. The week is filled with kayak tours, birding, boating and environmentsal activities for all ages. The final day culminates whet "Conservation Art Day" where Federal Duck Stamp Winners, nature artists, and wildlife photographers enjoy a day devoted to the legacy of Jay Norwood Darling who was the first duck stamp artist and a Pulitzer Prize-winning political cartoonist.
"Ding" Darling Wildlife Society, a non-profit Friends of the Refuge organization, supports environmental education and services at J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge complex.
