Growing Up on Sanibel features Kenny DiBiase. This first of five Sanibel Island documentaries sponsored by Pfeifer Realty Group highlights four generations of people who grew up on Sanibel. The film will feature some long–time Sanibel residents who either grew up here, or who moved here in their early adult years, and who raised families here. An additional focus to adults who grew up here takes a nostalgic look back at their experience growing up on Sanibel Island. Finally, current “Sanibel kids” are featured, with glimpses into their island lives.
Kenny DiBiase grew up on Sanibel more recently and launched his Eagle Scout Project on the island. His love of fishing our local waters inspired him to launch his campaign of street signs BE SMART BE CLEAN ENJOY and PROTECT OUR WATERS.
Kenny loved fishing and when he was 13 he had his first boat and began exploring Sanibel's waterways and fishing spots. Growing up on Sanibel was a dream come true. Having the water at your doorstep and the canals and incredible fishing in Southwest Florida is truly a blessing.
