Bob Janes Memorial Golf Tournament
LAST UPDATED: 10 April 2019

Established in 2014, the Bob Janes Memorial Golf Tournament is held each year at the Shell Point Golf Club with monies raised going to the Lee County chapter of Military Officers Association of America aka MOAA.

Bob Janes played a significant role in Lee County. Janes was a Lee County commissioner, Sanibel Mayor, an Army Reserve Colonel and was the first president of the local MOAA chapter.

The tournament has grown over the years with the leadership of Fred Bondurant, Scott Logan and the addition of a silent auction thanks to Roger Triftshauser's suggestion.

MOAA uses these funds to support FGCU and FSW veteran scholarships, JROTC scholarships as they remain committed to serving veterans needs in Lee County.
