Sanibel Real Estate Seminar Addresses Short Sales & Auctions
LAST UPDATED: 01 April 2010

SANIBEL ISLAND, FL (April 1, 2010) – Wednesday’s seminar "Which Properties Are Selling And Why" held at the Sanibel Community House answered many questions regarding today’s real estate conditions and changes that could occur in the coming months as new legislation is enacted.

Seminar organizer, Eric Pfeifer, CRS, GRI, CIPS, Broker of Pfeifer Realty Group briefly covered the current market conditions on the islands. Jeff Passantino, Realtor, PA, CDPE (Certified Distressed Property Expert), spoke about the Short Sale process and how new legislation will open the Short Sale option to many more primary homeowners. Tim Drobnyk, Broker-Associate and Tommy Williams founding partner of Williams and Williams Auctions both discussed the process of selling a property at auction.

Williams, Drobnyk, Passantino, and Pfeifer fielded many questions that followed. “It’s vital for everyone to understand how current market conditions affect their real estate goals. Even though our islands are insulated from national and local trends, they are not totally immune. The 110 properties closed or under contract since January 1st, 2010 have effectively recalibrated values on Sanibel” stated Pfeifer.

Pfeifer Realty Group will continue to organize these open forums to help the community stay updated on all the options open to buyers and sellers in today’s market. For information on their next seminar call 239-472-0004.
