Sanibel Causeway Constuction Schedule Update

The Sanibel Causeway bridge construction is proceeding at a steady pace. The following is the latest update on the projected schedule.

Bridge A is scheduled to be open for traffic September 2006. Bridge B will be open for traffic first in July 2006, and Bridge C will be completed last and open for traffic January 2007.

Please note the following waterway closures:

Bridge A Navigation channel to be closed the following dates and times to allow installation of a portion of the new fender system:

May 30th – June 2nd , 2006, (6:00AM thru 9:00PM)

June 5th – June 9th, 2006, (6:00AM thru 9:00PM)

June 12th – June 15th, 2006, (6:00AM thru 9:00PM)

June 19th – June 22nd, 2006, (6:00AM thru 9:00PM)

June 26th – June 29th , 2006, (6:00AM thru 9:00PM)
